The Alchemist

One of my favorite books is The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho. If you haven't read it, it's a must. It's deep and beautiful.
I saw this picture and it reminded me of my beloved story.

'Truth, purity, unselfishness – wherever these are present, there is no power below or above the sun to crush the possessor thereof. Equipped with these, one individual is able to face the whole universe in opposition.’ Swami Vivekananda

"The boy reached through to the Soul of the World and saw that it was a part of the Soul of God. And he saw that the Soul of God was his own soul. And that he, a boy, could perform miracles."

A beautiful book.... 2 of my favourite quotes;

"Life attracts life" (Alchemist to Santiago)

"There is only one way to learn... it's through action. Everything you need to know you have learned through your journey." (Alchemist to Santiago again)

This post is a perfect marriage! Well done!

Beautiful! Those first pictures could have been taken at the end of my street! Sand gets a lot less romantic when it’s blowing into your house though (it seems to wait until the day after my cleaner comes too. Tricky)

Going to ebay to get the book now, you don't have to tell me twice. Love the linen, I wear so much of it, it's ridiculous here in Hotter than Hell Mississippi!

truth, purity and unselfishness... very rare in a world gone wrong with violence, hate and selfishness. But I admire and appreciate such traits. I love the sandlas and white, flowing dresses. Have also read most of his books, but not the one mentioned in your post. Have a bright and cheerful Thrusday;-)
