Swan Girl

Hi dolls,
Do you ever wake up in the morning and just feel this strong desire to re-invent yourself, take it to the next level, and just do the things you always say you want to do for yourself? There is this fire that gets lit underneath you and somehow you just know that it's time to pump it up and make yourself into a swan and not just the work horse that gets everything done for everyone else!  What I'm saying, is that there comes a time, especially in a woman's heart when she needs to re-polish the shine on herself.  Do you ever see a beautiful woman on the street or in a magazine or blog and say I wish I had that hair, that style, that lipstick? Well, don't lie, it happens a lot! We see someone so pulled together and she inspires us to look better, dress better, spend a little more time on our eyeshadow and eyeliner. It's not vain, it's just part of the glamour package of being a woman. And it gets overlooked, and neglected because we take care of everyone else most of the time. I'm just reminding you all to do a little re-inventing this weekend on yourself.  Haircut or haircolor maybe? Racy new makeup for fall? Style an outfit in the morning wearing some special pieces and go out and look fabulous all day, instead of wearing yoga pants to run errands? Inspire us! What's on your list to do for yourself this week? xoxo Keep it glam!

What a fabulous reminder to us all! Just last night I took the time to think about what I would wear this morning, and it felt great to get dressed!

These pictures are just...wow!

I try to put effort into the way I present myself, but I know I fall short sometimes.

I'm hoping to get a massage in (not this week, but maybe next) to help me feel renewed!

Such a beautiful editorial to accompany such an eloquent message... thank you Taj.

I believe that looking after ones self is a sign of respect for self and for others. Most importantly it's about how you view yourself. If you take care of yourself you are telling the world that you know your worth...

This editorial is truly stunning, stunning pieces too!

How inspiring! I definitely feel what you've said sometimes. This fall I want to be more 'brave' with fashion, start wearing these things I've accumulated in my closet and being more courageous with my choices! Also, I want to continue to eat better...and take care of myself! I have not been able to work out at all lately, and I can atleast eat healthier to make sure I am doing OK.

Oh dear! Your post comes at such an appropriate time. When I am all set to reinvent myself and not just in terms of style. I am discarding a lot of stuff from my house and my life, and trying to recreate a lot of visual elements around me. It is such a boost!

Thanks for reminding all the women out there what it means to be one. have a great week ahead, dear!
