I know Why The Caged Bird Sings

Ever since I saw The Black Swan I've been dreaming of feathers. I can't help myself, I go through these feather phases every couple of months.  I bought this gorgeous purple feather capelet last month and when I wore it to a dinner I felt like a swan! There is something very magical about feathers, maybe flight has something to do with it I'm sure, but they are so whimsical and dreamy. Plus, birds of a feather flock together and that's why you're here! xoxo Keep it Glam!

The first one Taj? GORGE! I'm with you - I love the feathers. All the feathers in the land. I saw a plumed skirt at Club before the holidays and am still crying daily that I let it go...but wait - is that a light fixture??

Wow

How GORGEOUS! A friend of mine got engaged recently and her fiance designed a beautiful ruby ring with a feather-inspired band-it's just stunning! I'll have to send her this way for a little feather inspiration for the big day!

The title is so Maya Angelou :). Feather is definitely gorgeous - I just have no idea how to wear it! I also think some people can pull it off and some can't. And you have to style it well or it would look a little tacky. Though it's just an opinion and I'm no fashionista so I might be spouting out a whole lot of nonsense lol! I love that champagne bottle, great for any feather themed occasion!

friend i am so mad becuz i wrote this looonng comment with ideas for sb and then my internet crashed! lol anyhoo what i said was. . .
for affordable lodging i would go to google maps. search for "w. cabrillo blvd, santa barbara ca" and then search for hotels or inns nearby. cabrillo is the beach front street in sb and there are a lot of little side streets around there with inns, motels & hotels on them.
i think inns would be cheaper and there are a lot of cute ones over there.
you can also googlemap "eladios restaurant santa barbara" and search for hotels near there. eladios is a beachfront restaurant on cabrillo so thats another way to search.

as far as foood i can tell u some affordable options.
1. east beach grill is really awesome. its literally like on the beach, super casual grill food (you can literally wear your bathing suit there, and people do)
2. longboards on the pier is also very casual (not as casual or cheap as east beach grill) with good tropical drinks and seafood. you can sit outside on the terrace and its ocean views all around.
3. if you are looking for more expensive places for like a romantic dinner there is harbor restaurant which is underneath longboards on the pier. its indoors and expensive but nice ocean views & food.
4. also bouchon is a really romantic nice french restaurant up here. cute ambiance and great food. i would choose this over harbor, unless you really want an ocean view.
5. ok, for a mid-range but nice place that i really like (haha and around the corner from my house) is called jane. super good food, cute ambiance and you can get veal for $16! its near the historic arlington theater which has the old style bulb-lit sign and other cute restaurants.
ok thats all for now, if you need any other suggestions let me know!

Wow, this is such a beautiful post! It must have taken you so long to collect all of these images. I haven't seen Black Swan, but it looks SO good, and I've heard really good reviews.

I love so many of these photos! Though, my faves are the boy kissing the girl in the blue dress, and the little girl with the cupcake!
