Glam Adventures

Hello lovelies! How was the weekend? I did some thrift shopping at a secret little shop we've found recently and scored on some lovely vintage white linen napkins with butterfly embroidery. The detail is stunning. I also found some great antique fine bone china tea cups for my afternoon tea!   On Saturday evening the Director and I went to this enormous Asian market down the street from our house.  I was perusing the aisles for ingredients to make chow mien and stock up on various exotic teas.  We came across a huge line up at the back of the store in the fish department. At least 20 people were taking a number and yelling out, picking their fresh fish and having it cut to choice & cooked! The the big excitement was the crispy deep fry.  So you pick from about 25 different kinds of fresh fish laid out in ice before you, pick your cut, watch the fishmonger chop it up right in front of you and then send it over to the deep fry! It was an event I've never seen! We chose a white fish from Canada and it was delicious! Next time I'm taking pics so you guys can see the craziness! And to think this little spot was just down the street from us this whole time! Stay tuned for more glam adentures! Did you have any great adventures this weekend? Do share! xoxo

Sounds like a fabulous weekend, sweetie! Love looking through antique shops for vintage linens .. I recently found a couple of pretty white tea towels with pale blue cutwork along the edges of the ends. I folded the towels over and made gorgeous little decorative pillows with that blue cutwork on the open end of the little pillowcase. Loved your story of the fish market! What an adventure! Thanks, sweetie, for stopping by the blog ... left you a little message in response for next time you're by! xoxo

Don't you just love it when you walk into little shops and find a great find? Like vintage and butterfly embroidery! Sounds simply gorgeous wish you showed us some photos of that :). Glad you had a great weekend! Wasn't too interesting on my end haha.

Sounds like you had a lovely weekend and you found lots of goodies! And even better when you discover little hidden treasures so close to home too! We travelled to Vermont this weekend and did some discovering too, I found a few vintage mason jars, odd vintage spoons and forks at an antique shop.
Happy week!

what a fantastic adventure! I'm Asian American and remember going to the Asian market as a little girl and thinking I had walked into a whole new country although much of it my own. I guess I grew into Asian hahah

Gorgeous shoot! I love the movement in the photos and of course the beautiful outfits. I'm a huge fan of bustling markets. I actually live quite close to one as well - definitely the best place to pick up fresh produce!
