I've got some great beauty secrets for you that are super easy to add
into your daily routine. I'm going off of what has worked for me and
makes me feel and look amazing.
Living a healthy lifestyle has been my priority for years now, but after having
baby Glam, and going through so many physical changes in my body, I really
wanted to focus on natural things that gave me optimal benefits. I think I will also
do a post on my updated beauty/body products as well. I've got a lot of new found
100% natural ingredients products that work fab and have zero synthetics or chemicals in
them. To me that is really where my mind is at with my food choices as well.
Buying locally grown fruits and veggies, organics, and non-processed foods without
all the high fructose corn syrup has been a game changer for me.
These are just a few simple ideas that I wanted to share and I hope you will
try a few out!
First is my beverages! I consume a lot of water and I just don't enjoy the taste of it!
So I like to add mint from my garden, cucumbers, fruit, lemons and limes!
It really does make such a big difference and it's really good for you!
I usually make up a pitcher at night and then the next day I am ready to pour at
my leisure. I use an aluminum water bottle to take on the go and I'm set. Easy breezy.
I also really love coconut water with Aloe vera juice. The brand I like is Alo. It has different flavors like peach and kiwi and the ingredients are just those few things.
Another fav is Pom juice. I like to buy the large bottles at Costco and dilute my glass with 1/4 juice to 3/4 water. Super healthy and delish.
Next up is green tea. Now I could write several posts on my love of teas, but
let's keep it short and simple. Green tea is just simply good for you, here's an article on it's
10 benefits. I love it iced in the summer with some mint or hot with lemon. I also make pitchers of
white and green tea in the summer because I drink them like a fish!
Next up are my juices and smoothies. I'm totally addicted and don't know how I even
existed pre-juicing! Yes, I'm that in love. It's definitely a commitment you will have
to make to yourself because, you have to buy fresh produce every few days and
go thru the process. But it's sooo worth it! I had juiced off and on for a few years but
I never would stick with it. This December I felt so low energy and tired all the time.
I decided to go full into juicing and I've not looked back since. I've never felt better, I have more
energy and my hair, nails, skin, everything is that much better.
Our juicer is the Omega and it's wonderful. I would suggest investing in a
higher end juicer like it, as the whole point is to extract as much nutrients from
the produce and possible. And many of the cheaper brands just can't produce
that juice for you. But, wherever your budget is, just start there and
work your way up! As long as you are juicing and getting
the benefits, that's all that matters to me!
In addition to juices, I love my smoothies. My Vitamix blender is amaaazing!
You can even make soups in that beast! I highly recommend it to smoothie lovers.
Smoothies are great snacks for people who are trying to loose weight in my opinion.
they fill you up and keep you going and there are so many different
combinations you will never get bored. We like to add Orgain Organic protein powder, flax seeds,
Coconut milk, Almond milk, etc. to ours. Baby Glam loves her smoothies too! They are a great
way to get your kids to eat their veggies! So sneaky!
Lastly, I wanted to touch on supplements. Everyone has their opinions, mine is:
Why not? I take a multi-vitamin and many other supplements throughout my day.
A couple that are beauty based are Neo Cell Beauty Bursts. The kind I have are fruit punch flavored
collagen soft chews. They have Hyaluronic Acid, Vitamin C and 2,000 MG of collagen.
Collagen is the body's beauty protein and as we age we lose collagen. So these are a way of helping
restore that. Obviously, there are arguments on absorption levels when you take any supplement and whether you are getting enough to make a difference. But I
would rather try than not try. These chews have really grown on me and I will definitely continue to use them.

The final supplement I'd like to share is from HUM and is a high potency vitamin D3.
Many people are deficient in vitamin D, I know I was when I was pregnant and I live in sunny
California! We spend so much time indoors and spackled with sunscreen that we just aren't getting
the sunshine that our bodies actually need. Here is a great article on this supplement and what
it's benefits are. I don't really enjoy taking pills and prefer chews, so for me, I have to make a commitment to my health and body to take them. I definitely recommend taking these and I think they are even available at Sephora!
