Whether you are a Real House Wife of the O.C. or a housewife anywhere for that matter, you will definitely enjoy a little trip to Newport Beach! A great little escape for shopping, dinning and taking in the beautiful scenery. Living in L.A., I definitely need a little getaway every now and then to just get out of the city grind and enjoy the beaches. My family and I love taking the drive down to the O.C. to the beaches out that way, and Newport Beach is so family friendly for the kids with
so many fun things to do and see.
We always love going to Balboa Island and walking around the great shops there! There are some amazing candy stores along the way that my daughter likes to pick a few treats from of course and I pick up some delicious salt water taffy!
At the end of the strip, there is a gorgeous place to have a romantic walk along the pier with all the gorgeous sail boats and charming waterfront homes. It is a picture perfect location to take selfies! I'm guilty!
If you love to watch surfing like we do, Newport Beach has one of the surfing capitals of the world at the Wedge. It's pretty much amazing!
loved it! We walked along the beach there and took in the gorgeous Pacific Ocean, then we had
lunch at a The Harborside Restaurant, which has views from every table!
We also took in a Whale tour which was very cool as we saw several whales that were migrating from their breeding grounds in Baja Mexico up the coast to Alaska. I highly recommend a tour if you love whales! It was such a fun time and look forward to taking more friends and family there again! There is a lighted Christmas boat parade that I would like to take the kids to in December as well.
I love sharing places to visit here in Southern California that I personally enjoy visiting as well! Newport Beach is a great place to add to your list of beautiful beaches and piers. There is high-end shopping, quaint little shops and all kinds of great seafood places to eat, surfing, and on and on! I hope you will add it to your must-see vacation spots too, I promise you will #EnrichYourSenses!
